When it’s 6 o’clock in the evening then almost all of us have that craving for something spicy, savory, delicious food to gorge upon and satiate our hunger pangs and when its someone as foodie as me who has food always on my mind it’s hard not to give your empty stomach a treat with flavorsome food. After a long day at college, tuitions or when you need a quick snack break in between your work schedule, the delicacy of having some food by the corner of the streets is the answer to all of it. Raipur is a hub of eat-out joints where every evening you would find beautiful people round the city enjoying and relishing their love for food. So here we list down our most favorite eat out options in this beautiful city:
Minesh Gupchup: Located on the streets of samta colony this joint is sure to attract your attention while you cross this area due to the vast crowd present in front of this stall. You might have had gupchup in variety of forms but I am sure the “Tamatar gupchup” made at this place is unbeatable in the city. Almost since 20 years our taste buds are being treated with the awesomeness of gupchup and jhalmuri from this joint but the taste has never transposed.
Where to find: In front of Jain Computers, Samta Colony, Raipur.
Chandni Bhel: If you love bhel and papdi chat then this should be surely on your list to kill your hunger cravings. From school kids to adults this joint attracts all kinds of people of the city. The flavorsome bhel combining varieties of chutney with puffed rice and papdi chat with crispy papdi topped with potatoes, curd and chutney is sure to bring you back to this place if you try the same for once.

Kachori and Samosa of Rathore chowk:- A small shop near the Hanuman temple located at Rathore chowk offers the best dahi kachori and dahi samosa in town. The demand of the same is so high that you may have to wait to grab your portion of hot kachoris filled with dahi, imli chutney, green chutney and garnished with sev. I bet you won’t stop after having one.
Where to find: At Rathore Chowk, besides Hanuman Mandir, Raipur.
Naveen Dhabeli: Amidst the hustle and bustle near the turning point, Shankar nagar lies a small stand offering mouth watering dhabelis. A bread bun with potato filling inside with a perfect combination of spices to be had with peppery garlic chutney. What else one would ask more for an evening snack.

Mastana Chana Masala: Katora talab area near the netaji chowk is developing as a cluster of beautiful cafes and restaurants but still we can’t stop drooling over the palatable chana masala and khasta chat from this cart which is khasta topped with boiled potatoes, onion, tomatoes, boiled chick peas, curd and chutneys. The taste of the same is sure to delight all you foodies out there.
