Hello, gorgeous divas! What a fabulous February it was, announcing the advent of the Spring, wasn’t it? Look around at the lavish spread of beauty with buds blossoming, shedding behind the dormancy of winter. The variety of flowers that blossom during this season emit a stupendously vibrant energy, creating a world no less beautiful than the heavens up there. With that, our wardrobe sees a big change too – from dull and dark colours to warm and spicy colours blending to form a palette of winter and spring. This is perhaps the most awaited season – bringing along the desire to wear vibrant colours. Since it is partially cold and mildly sunny, you may still prefer light knitted fabrics gracefully covering your bodies to last the cooler evenings.

Spring adds romance to the wardrobe by splashing colours of diverse kind. There is an array of choices available in this season, which calls for prudence in deciding an option which is trendy yet comfortable. If you want to pick something warm and bright, go for it, girls! Feel lively and sassy, if you like! The season inspires such a vibe. Fine as well as bold prints look great in this season, if they are paired in a balanced manner. Be careful in choosing prints and patterns that suit you. I believe it’s always a good idea to try on and then decide.

Here are certain ideas to understand prints:

Guard your prints like the weapon in your wardrobe. You never know which print me pair magically with another piece in your wardrobe! Choice of fabric is a crucial element in choosing your prints. A stitch here and a cut there can look very different in different fabrics, so be more attentive in that respect. Otherwise, be bold; try prints in different colours! Season calls for living big!

Accessories! This is, in fact, the best season to pair up accessories because it’s neither extremely cold nor extremely hot so carrying them for longer durations is not a hassle. Pair bright colours with muted tones to give a colour contrast. Your attire must emit a coherent purpose top to bottom. For instance, play subtle with accessories while dressing up for office; experiment with colours and accessories while dressing up for a party. You may vary you day look and your night look.

Let’s see some combinations to get a fair idea:

This spring, pick elements from nature. What’s more beautiful than the ever-inspiring nature? Let’s choose something more serene than extravagant this season to soothe eyes!

Dress joyful! Wear expressions of happiness! Hunt for the less experimented with colours! Why not highlight this season’s pantone colour – the luscious green?

Experiment and discover newer ways of styling and pairing natural elements, keeping intact their inherent grace. Tone-on-tone mixing of colours is in trend. Mixing pastels with translucent and flowy fabrics like chiffon, feathery georgette, glass nylon, organza, tissue can make several envy. Increased detailing in the hem line of clothes has increased the deamand for hand-made and hand-dyed clothes. This trend has helped increase demand for tessels, pom poms, crochet, fringes, and other hand-made crafts, which bring the flavour of ethnicity even in Western outfits. It also give a platform to the craftsmen to expand their craft. There are some classics in prints like block prints, tie and dye of different regions of India including Chhattisgarh, which primarily has a unique pattern, handloom sarees of ‘Chuikhadan,’

This Spring, let’s give a boost to our handicraft industry, which has remained a little away from the much-deserved spotlight for long. Inspire others through your pairings of traditional handicraft with the modern trends. Let your heart dive in colours!
